Yep, Thats right I was on the front page of one of our local newspapers. The Langley Times called a couple weeks ago and said they would like to do an article on a local hotrodder...so they chose me. I really dont know why, I guess the other really qualified builders were out of town or busy. I kinda like the picture...my wife says I look like a pin up boy...is that good? Car Art

About 2 months ago we had a huge car show at our shop. The Torchmen, a local car club decided to hold thier annual B.B.Q. on the property were we hold Hot Rod High. MArtin and I decided we should spruce the place up a bit so we built this cool little lean to and filled it with old car junk. It turned out lookin great...or so we think. The truck is a 34 ford with the box shortened and the junk is just junk but we had a great time building it.

I've been working on this car for a couple years now. It has a great storey attached to it. I originally traded a wood stove for the car and picked it up on Vancouver island. This was my first chop. My friend Martin and I decided we wanted to try to chop something and this one fit the bill. We took 6 inches out of the front post and 8 inches out of the rear post. We also had to stretch the roof 8 inches to make it fit the original beltline. And while we were at it we made it a hard top. We had a blast. Used a bunch of leftover parts and painted it in the driveway. It has been a very fun project. It has a 283 and a 700R4 tranny with a mustang two front end.

While at the best car show on the planet in Paso Robles a couple months ago I got to meet many of my car building heros. Here are a couple shots of me with Bill Hines the legendary led slinger and another with Sam Foose...Chip Fooses dad. We had a great time in Paso the cars were amazing and getting to meet my heros was a blast.

Well here is my latest trade. It's a 1963 chevy shortbox fleetside pickup. It's pretty stock just lowered and primed. It has a 327 with a four speed and 1960 hood and grill. It has the normal dings and dents and rusty-ness...but its a fun truck. I traded the s-10 below for this truck and a great little miller welder. So from street rocket to clunky cruiser...I love it.

Here we go again...A few people have made the request that I update my blog so here we go. I still live in the same house witht he same people and the same dogs. However, I have a few different cars. On my next blog I will try to bring you all up to date on the new cars in the hotrod preachers garage with pictures of course. blog ya later

Well heres the latest addition to the hotrodpreachers coral of great cars. Its a 1984 s-15 pickup. But, this is not your dad's s-15 it is equipped with a very strong 350 so its a bit of a rocket. Its in great shape and I got it for a bit of a steal... I'll probabley just flip it but it is a blast to drive.

My First and Favorite

This is a pic of my first and favorite car. A 1954 belair two door hard top. My brother bought me a Revel model of this car for my 13th birthday. I have wanted one ever since. A few years ago I hotrodded a 1952 hudson and then traded it for this car. It has a very strong 283 and a white tuck and roll interior. When you drive it the feeling is much like driving a large sofa down the road yet cooler.
